Plans & Pricing
MDHearing has three main products in its portfolio, and all hearing aids come with a special offer if you purchase a pair at once. The company advertises this as a 75% special offer, which enables you to buy a pair cheaper than a single hearing bud.
There isn’t much pricing difference since all products vary from $299 to $399, making the one with advanced noise reduction a wise choice. The money-back-guarantee covers you for 45 days, and you are qualified for a full refund during that period. You can choose Affirm financing and pick payments in up to 12 monthly installments.
The warranty covers you for an entire year, and you can also choose the MDShield Protection Plan for up to $14.99 monthly. It offers coverage for accidental damages and malfunctions. If the company can’t fix the device, they promise to send a new one.
MDHearing offers only over-the-counter hearing aids, so you don’t need a prescription. Accessories cost extra, and they range from circular domes to carrying cases and cleaning tool sets.
Overview
The founder of MDHearing is a certified otolaryngologist from Chicago who established the company in 2009. The company’s primary idea is to make OTC hearing aids more accessible and offer affordable pricing for top-quality products. It’s why the brand focuses on selling its products online, eliminating any middleman in the process.
MDHearing currently doesn’t have a large variety of hearing aids available, and you can only find three devices in their shop. The selection includes in-the-ear and behind-the-ear products, which feature different battery life and levels of noise reduction. Here’s a detailed MDHearing review!
Devices offered
MDHearing NEO
Description: It’s the smallest model offered by the company and the only ITE hearing aid they have available. The string secures simple removal, and multiple silicone domes ensure everyone finds an optimal fit.
MDHearing AIR
Description: Air has a virtually invisible behind-the-ear design with a crystal clear sound enabled by advanced digital technology.
MDHearing VOLT
Description: Volt is the latest and the most innovative model produced by the company. It comes with long-lasting batteries, four adjustable programs for different environments, and improved noise reduction.
Features and Functionality
MDHearing uses advanced digital technology for sound processing in all its models. Doctors design the devices, and they all have an FDA certificate. Here are some other important features!
Rechargeable Batteries
All hearing aids come with a rechargeable battery aimed to endure an entire day. AIR has 12-16 hours of battery life, while VOLT’s battery can endure over 20 hours on a full charge. You receive a charging cord and a portable case included.
Noise Reduction Levels
Reducing background noise and feedback cancelation are the default features integrated into all devices. NEO and AIR use the same technology, while VOLT features advanced noise reduction, which explains its higher price.
MDHearing App
You can get the app for free on Android and iOS –head to your device’s app store and type MDHearing. Once you install it, open and personalize the settings of your hearing buds. The app asks you to press the button whenever you hear a tone, which enables maximum customization. It’s also possible to pick from four pre-set programs, including quiet, adaptive, social, and restaurant settings, or manually change the volume. Communicating with an expert from the app is possible, but it might take a while for them to respond outside of working hours.
Ease of Use
Once you receive the hearing buds, they are ready to use out of the box. There’s no need for activation or anything like that. Just place them in the ear and adjust the volume.
We suggest installing the MDHearing app since it allows personalized adjustment for your earphones and has four different programs integrated. It simplifies adjusting the volume when you change environments.
Customer support
Customer support can be helpful, although it takes a while to receive a response when you contact them from the app. Otherwise, however, the fact that the team is US-based and are licensed hearing professionals makes for support that’s hard to find elsewhere.

Final Word
MDHearing is great if you need an entry-level OTC hearing aid. Don’t expect fantastic quality, but a solution that’s available at an affordable price and can offer decent assistance if you have hearing issues. With fairly low pricing, it’s hard to say that the hearing aids don’t offer good value for money.
At this point, MDHearing is only limited to three different models, which include ITE and BTE buds. Purchasing a pair is considerably cheaper than a single bud, and there’s an insurance plan that keeps you safe in case of malfunctions or accidental damages.
Overall, MDHearing can’t be measured with top-quality hearing aids. But if you are looking for an affordable solution that’s ready to use out of the box, this brand is a great choice.
